Better Sleep. Better Dreams.

It’s the motto of our store, and it sits proudly beneath our marquee. But what does Better Sleep, Better Dreams really mean?

Sleep is good for many things. It rests the body so you have more energy throughout the day. It heals your wounds. It revives and refreshes your mind. And it gives your brain a chance to reprogram all of the chaos in your day.

And there are dreams. No one is really quite sure what dreams are for, but they are a uniquely human and mammal phenomenon. Dreams serve several purposes.

1. They provide illumination. Legions of ships have been sent to war on the whim of a dream. Complex chemical compositions have been decoded in the midst of a dream-like state. Dreams help guide the way in what we believe is right. They are our guiding light when we are at a loss from the signals of the earth.
2. They organize the mind. Without dreams we would go mad. There is simply too much disorder and chaos in the world for us to process it all. Our subconscious mind flips trough the kaleidoscopic array of colours and sounds that fill our minds and tries to form patterns and make sense of our world, so we can develop schemas to move through the swirling madness without losing our footing.
3. Dream cement learning. If you are trying to learn guitar, or chess, or a language, it does not become cemented in your mind until you begin to dream about it.

If you want the best possible dreams, you are going to need the best possible bed. Not only will a brand-name bed from Mattress Choice ensure that you rest better, it will make you more prepared for your waking life as well.
