Novelty beds are often used as an enticing gimmick to get customers to spend their nights in hotels all across Canada.
In Niagara they have the heart shaped beds for honeymooners; red plush beds designed to resemble cupid’s target. Why you would need a heart shaped bed to consummate your love is behind us. Simmons does not make beds in that form, so naturally it would be an inferior sleep.
Then there are the theme rooms at hotels like the Fantasyland Hotel in Edmonton. There are beds with Polynesian canopies and mattresses designed to fit into a fiberglass locomotive. Again, novel ideas but what kind of mattress would fit into these ridiculous cutouts.
Hotels should simply advertise the brand of beds they offer to their overnight guests. If they really want to entice the traveling cliental they should mention the Simmons name.
Thank goodness BC residents can enjoy a Simmons at home every night of the week. With two Simmons Mattress Gallery locations in the Lower Mainland, buying a Simmons Beautyrest is easy and convenient.
Leave the novelty beds to the ill informed.
