Royals Plan Trip Across Canada

It’s official, Prince William and his fiance, Kate Middleton, have chosen Canada as their first overseas expedition as a married couple. The two plan to tour our great nation in July, less than two months after their April 29th wedding. The trip is said to be a survey of Canada’s lands, from the East Coast to the West Coast. Prince William will be showcasing his new wife and, according to the London newspaper The Sun, Kate has agreed to do at least one solo engagement. We haven’t heard what this will involve, but hopefully it’s a sit down with George Stroumboulopoulus and not a stuffy dinner with the Governor General.

The Hour

Apparently, Stephen Harper, after the couple’s initial announcement, invited the pair to spend some time enjoying Canada’s hospitality. I guess the couple took Harper’s words at face value. (Our email is set to send all Harper’s correspondences straight to our spam box.)

No word if any other royalty will be joining the near-to-be-weds.

So gear up Victoria, the Prince is coming. And ladies, let’s be civil. He’ll be a married man when he comes. Keep it together.
