Mattress Choice has heard disappointing news this week from the United Kingdom. Elton John has reportedly confirmed rumours that he will not be playing at the marriage festivities for William and Kate.
The pop megastar, who preformed at William’s mother’s funeral in 1997, told the press that he would not be gracing the ivories for the April 11th ceremony.
“I don’t know them (William and Harry) very well. I’ve only met them twice – once when they were young and once at the Diana Memorial Concert.” Elton went on to say that he hadn’t been asked and doesn’t expect to be.
But by mentioning it publicly, some might say that the piano man is a little sour he wasn’t invited. Maybe he is actually fishing for an invitation…?
Well, there is always Oasis. Or Pete Doherty.
But our bet is the Prince will go with another knight: Sir Paul McCartney. You heard it here first folks. “BEATLE TO PLAY PRINCE’S WEDDING!” The first dance: “Something.”
Whatever the music, it should be a day to remember. And it’s about time. William sure took his time asking. Let’s hope he books his musical act a little quicker.
