You’ve just moved into your new condo in the Highlands district. You bought a Sealy mattress from Mattress Choice, picked up a dining room set and swapped couches with your brother-in-law. After hours and hours of unpacking and furniture arranging, you finally have your new home in order.

The Avenue Gallery is hosting an up-and-coming art award show for local Victoria artists. Entiled, the “Victoria Emerging Arts Award,” the finalists’ work will be on display until Thursday, August 26th. A panel of local curators and art critics will judge them.
Prices start at $200, a steal, for a one-of-kind award nominated image.
By buying one of the art offerings, you are supporting a local artist who, up until now, has only had minimal exposure.
So forget the mass produced print of Monet’s ‘Water Lilies,’ and invest in a piece of art that will start a conversation at every viewing.
